Good times keep rolling...

Sarah and I said we would go and see another play, and we did. This time, we saw Annie, the story of an orphan girl who tries to find her parents.

It was good; the students had made a lot of effort, and even managed to score a live dog for the production to play Sandy.

The costumes were also quite good. And again, we got in for the dirt-cheap student rate of $5.

We hung out for most of that day, which was quite relaxing, and watched a movie called The Lake House which was actually quite good. I'm not normally a Sandra Bullock / Keanu Reeves fan, but the story really made the film a good watch, if you go for chick flicks.

I'm going to continue to frantically catch up with all my friends over the next couple of months before I pack up my Little Shack and leave. Let the box-stuffing begin!

A birthday + a returned notebook = blog

I'm back - thank goodness my computer has been fixed and returned.
Lots has happened while my compy was in hospital - and I've got all this blogging energy to let out - so here's what happened on my birthday last weekend!

On Saturday I went around Melbourne with my Mum, brother and sister. We had lunch at a Chinese restaurant, and then went shopping at some factory outlets.

This is the cake my Mum made me on Sunday. Reminds me of a nice place! Mum also gave me some money, which was very generous of her.
I listened to some lectures during the afternoon, and then on Sunday night I went out for tea with some friends.
They were really generous in shouting me my meal, and then on top of that, giving me unexpected gifts as well! I felt really grateful and happy at the end of that day. Here's some of the pressies I got:

My mates gave me a pair of very ooja boo boo boots. They're similar to those owned by Mel. Mel calls stuff ooja boo boo. Ooja boo boo means something that's really cool or funky. Mel has even invented sign language for Ooja boo boo!

They also gave me some spatulas...

...this kettle to satisfy my coffee cravings...

... a cute lion...

... and this cool drawing Jackie did for me.

My sister gave me a happy duck wrist-rest (for when I use a mouse, like right now). He glows in the dark!

She also gave me some cool mugs,
this funky photo frame that looks like a fish bowl...

...and this very ooja boo boo felt card! I was playing with the felt animals for ages!
Thanks everyone for blessing me on my birthday - I think my birthdays get better every year :)
