Post No Bill

This is the most useless sign ever. It's a funny form of bad-english. What does it mean? Nobody knows. Well at least not most of the people I talk to who live in the Philippines. It means nothing in Filipino, nothing in English.

The only reasonable solution I've been offered so far is that it means 'do not graffiti or put posters on this wall'. But what is the use of a sign that nobody understands?

What's the funniest thing about this whole thing? You'll see this sign everywhere - in every city, on nearly every public wall. Go figure.

I've seen similar signs in Melbourne ... it means not to post/paste posters ("bills") to the wall. Its probably more old english than poor english ;)

There is a really cool website that has examples of poor-design. Checkout http://www.baddesigns.com

...and welcome back Rach!
