Diary of a sleep-deprived nurse

Sorry I haven't blogged for ages...

I've realised one thing nursing has done for me: I'm now more addicted to caffeine than ever before. The last time I remember being really addicted was in year 12, when I couldn't think all day if I hadn't had my morning cup...

Now I drink about 8 cups a day. But what else can you do when you've got to work on 6 hours sleep? And then come home and study for the rest of the day?

And how do I like mine? Tea - white, no sugar. Coffee - white, NO sugar. Nescafe, please, or Riva Gold (Yes, please!). Cafe Latte is very nice thank you very much also.

Today I'm extra tired. But excited, because I'm going out to speak at a primary school in the sticks soon.

But in the meantime... pass me another cup, will you?

Hey Spatch. I found that news highly disturbing. Then i thought: I do highly disturbing things every day that i have no intention of changing. hmmm i'm sure even you would agree that 8 is toward the upper end of the coffee consumption continuum.

Correction: it's tea I drink mostly; however that contains just as much caffeine I understand!

At least it's got antioxidants.

Aunty who?

Raywood Primary School. It was good fun, all the kids there do RE except for 2 so the school is really supportive. I spoke for a short time about easter and did a fun demonstration with a helium balloon.
