A question of technique... or an unfortunate drawback of dial-up?

Argh! I love using Ebay to get stuff I want cheaper, but there is the occasional occasion when you get massively frustrated/cut/annoyed... that is, of course, when you lose a bidding contest. And no-one likes to lose, especially not me.

There I was - calm, confident, deviously excited about getting a CD I really wanted, happy also that I'd win another CD and get the seller to combine the postage therefore saving myself money, when IT happened. That's right, I hit a rough spot in my internet connection. My modem was working hard, but I just couldn't get the pages loaded quick enough... and I was too slow.
I missed it.
I just didn't get my bid in on time.
That would have been OK, except for the fact that the CD I only sorta wanted finished first and I had bidded on it! So now I'm stuck with a CD I really didn't want that much, while the Jars of Clay one I had my eyes on is going to some bloke in South Australia for a mere $AU 7.00.

Darn.

Well, that's what comes with the whole Ebay experience. You gotta take the good with the bad. These sorts of things just have to be laughed off. Tomorrow I won't give a hoot.

It'll just make me more determined to win next time!!
